really helps control frizz

I love the earthy sage scent and this really helps control frizz in my curls. The shampoo already made my hair feel so soft and this makes it feel even better. This works well with my shorter hair but the hold isn't super strong, I needed to use quite a few pumps when my hair was longer (unlike some other reviewers I rely on it getting a bit crunchy while my hair dries to define the curls).

I'll definitely keep using this for how great it makes my hair feel but I'd love to see Plaine release a thicker cream (maybe with Japan/sumac wax or something similar) in a pot for a stronger hold, especially for men's/shorter hairstyles.

A little goes a long way

This gel does a GREAT job of defining my waves without making it look crunchy or stiff. It does have a really good hold, so it's great for defining your curls or waves. A little also goes a long way so if you like a more soft but piecey look, a little will work, but if you want that super defined almost wet look, you can build up the product and it doesn't look or feel extra heavy. The sage scent wasn't too noticeable.

Good definition

It's flake city over here! I used the gel on it's own to do a wash and go. It gave me good definition on 3c/4a hair and smelled really nice but there are so many flakes. I won't be using it again.

Thanks for the feedback. You may be using too much, as you only need a small amount of it because it’s so concentrated. For best use, emulsify the gel by rubbing your palms together. Then apply to wet or damp hair from roots to ends, combing with your fingers and working your way through the hair to disperse it. Use fingers to define curls and coils. Air dry or use a diffuser/low heat blow-dryer. I would give that a try, and see how it works for you!

AMAZING

Plaine Products can do no wrong!!! Everything about this product was AMAZING. The smell is earthy and neutral enough that even my husband likes using it to style his hair. For me, my curls have never been happier or bouncier! It forms my curls BEAUTIFULLY
