Partnerships with Nonprofits
Plaine Products is a proud member of 1% for the Planet, which means we contribute at least 1% of our annual revenue (not profit) to environmental nonprofits. Through these partnerships, we help support advocacy, education, cleanup efforts, and environmental justice initiatives.
Advocacy
We support Beyond Plastics, an organization that combines the expertise of environmental policy leaders with the energy of grassroots advocates. Plaine Products is a supporter of the New York Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act, which Beyond Plastics championed in the NY legislature. The Act would significantly reduce single-use plastic packaging, protect public health, save taxpayer dollars, and address environmental justice issues.
Plaine Products is also a member of Upstream's Reuse Solutions Network, the Reduce and Refill Action Forum and a member of the Innovation Alliance for a Global Plastics Treaty.
Education & Awareness
We also contribute to nonprofits that raise awareness about plastic pollution and promote on-the-ground solutions, including Plastic Ocean Project, Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, and others. Many of these partners are also members of our Plaine Promoters affiliate program, which allows them to earn funding through product sales to further their mission.
Cleanups
In partnership with Orange County Coastkeeper, we organize cleanup events to reduce plastic waste on beaches and in waterways. During our shopwide sales (typically held three times a year), we commit to removing one pound of trash for every purchase made.
Environmental Justice
We donate bulk products to support the reuse program of Plastic Free Future, a California-based nonprofit working to eliminate plastic pollution. Their outreach emphasizes reusable alternatives and focuses on supporting systemically excluded communities.

Eco-Friendly Supply Chain
As Plaine Products makes choices about its supply chain, we keep three factors in mind: proximity to reduce shipping distances, product quality, and the ethics of the supplier, ensuring fair labor practices and environmental responsibility.
All of our main suppliers are based in the U.S. For our aluminum bottles, we work with the local branch of Trivium, based nearby in Ohio.
For boxes, we are currently working with the local office of Pratt Industries. Their award-winning boxes are made from 100% recycled material ,and, being close to our headquarters, we’ve reduced our supply shipping footprint.
Best of all, Pratt worked with us to develop boxes that eliminate the need for additional fill. They are strong enough to work for shipping refills and returning empty bottles to be refilled and reused. Because of their durability, we are able to use the boxes an average of five times before they are recycled. We use reinforced paper tape to seal the box to ensure they are able to be recycled when they can no longer be reused.
Our product manufacturer is based in Florida, and we are in constant touch about ingredients suppliers and formulas to make sure we are always offering the safest, highest quality products and ingredients. We make semi-annual visits to their FDA-certified factory that maintains a Good Manufacturing Practices certificate. You can read more about our commitment to ingredients here.
