Why doesn’t Plaine Products Carry a line for Kids?

Why doesn’t Plaine Products Carry a line for Kids?

One question we get asked pretty often is, "Why doesn't Plaine Products carry a line for kids?". The short answer is all of our products are baby and kid safe because we want our products to work for EVERYONE. As busy parents ourselves, we feel that you shouldn’t have to worry about buying different skin and hair care for yourself than your children. If a product is toxic for children, it probably isn’t so great for you either. That's why part of our mission is making safe products the whole family can use!

Ingredient Safety & Transparency

You can trust that our products aren’t harmful because we enter our ingredients through the Environment Working Group platform to assess their safety. The EWG Skin Deep system runs ingredients through almost 60 different toxicity, regulatory, and scientific databases in order to give a comprehensive analysis. Our skin and hair care lines are free of all the risky chemicals that we would want to keep away from our children. These include but are not limited to; phthalates, parabens, sulfates, and chlorine. We don’t hide chemicals behind the terms fragrance or preservatives, either!

In addition to using the EWG database, we are also certified by Think Dirty. They are another respected organization that reviews ingredient lists and rates products for safety.  They evaluate ingredients for carcinogenicity, developmental and reproductive toxicity, allergenicity and immunotoxicity. If you don’t believe us, you can check out all of our ingredients on our website as well as all the other amazing certifications we have achieved.

You don’t have to trust us, though. We encourage you to show our ingredients to your child’s pediatrician. They may like that the main ingredient in all of our products is aloe, which can be soothing for minor skin irritations like diaper rash. They may also like that our products are hypoallergenic, which reduces the risk of allergic reactions.  If your child does have skin issues, like inflammation, eczema or psoriasis, it is probably best to try our unscented products. We always recommend to first test them on a small patch of skin. It is always better to be extra careful when it comes to our little ones!

Life is complicated. Buying safe, quality beauty care shouldn’t be. We hope you decide to hit the easy button and buy our products for all your family members!
