Wefounded Plaine Products in 2017 to reduce the amount of single-use plastic in the world and we are so proud of what we achieved so far. In 2019 we surpassed our goal of diverting100,000 plastic bottles from landfills before the year even finished! We also prevented the emissions of more than 19,479 kg of carbon dioxide by eliminating the need for virgin plastic.We have always placed a huge priority onsustainability and we are proud to share the efforts and achievements we've made. We also recognize that being more sustainable and tackling climate change requires a variety of solutions. Plaine Products has identified 5 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that aremost relevant and material to our business where we can make a difference . Throughout this report, you will see that a related SDG icon appears next to the related sections to illustrate how our actions are tied directly to these goals. Plaine Products aims to provide our customers with the power to make more sustainable choices in their everyday life and be part of the solution.
Plaine Products started because we were inspired to combat the problem of plastic pollution in the ocean. Our work to eliminate single-use plastic and reuse bottles, pumps and packaging not only helps reduce greenhouse gases and prevent deforestation, it also helps reduce pollution and waste that often ends up on land and in the ocean. Plaine Products maintains its commitment to partnering with like-minded companies to source our products and packaging and to supporting nonprofits that are aligned with our mission. We continue to be excited about the possibilities for Plaine Products. We have big plans for new products, new partnerships, and new innovations.
